WALTHAM, Mass. – Led by senior Stephanie Mattson (Smithfield, R.I./Smithfield HS) and junior Alex Arnold (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy), the Bentley University men's and women's track and field teams will be at Southern New Hampshire University Friday and Saturday for the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.
Mattson, who has broken school records 35 times during her career, is seeded second in both the long jump and the triple jump, with distances of 19'3.5" and 39'3", respectively. Her career resume includes three career NE10 silver medals, including the indoor triple jump last February.
Arnold is listed fourth in the long jump and sixth in the 100 on the entry lists. A year ago, he just missed scoring in the long jump with a ninth-place finish.
