LOWELL, Mass. – Junior All-America Amy Varsell (Burlington, Conn./Lewis S. Mills HS) had the highest finish for a member of the Bentley University women's outdoor track and field team during Saturday's George Davis Invitational at UMass-Lowell.

Varsell finished fourth of 68 in the 1500 meters, posting a time of 4:39.85.

The Falcons' other top ten effort came in the javelin, with freshman Jackie Carlson (Kensington, Conn./Berlin HS) sixth of 21. Her throw of 103 feet, one inch was a new personal best and it put her at number six on Bentley's all-time list.

New PRs were also posted by freshman Brynnan Farrington (Shirley/Ayer HS) in the shot put (35'3") and sophomore Delia Equitz (Sussex, Wisc./Arrowhead Union HS) in the 400 meter hurdles (1:10.91), with that time moving her from eighth to seventh on the Bentley career performance list. Farrington was 14th of 35 in the shot and Equitz was 16th of 25.

Junior Caitlin Fahey (Bridgewater/Coyle-Cassidy HS) was 15th of 56 in the 800, finishing in 2:23.82, and freshman Tatiana Froehlich (Newton/Newton North HS) was 14th of 40 in the discus (104'6").

Next Saturday, Bentley will participate in the Stonehill Invitational.
