WALTHAM, Mass. – Freshman Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS) broke the school and pool record in the one-meter diving, and also turned in a winning effort off the three-meter board, as the Bentley University swimming and diving team returned from a month-long break to sweep past Plymouth State University, 157-90, Friday afternoon at the Dana Center.

Mancini posted a score of 289.50 on the one-meter board, bettering the school and pool record owned by Jade Li for the past 11 years by 3.55 points. Her winning score in the three-meter, an event she broke the school record in earlier in the season, was 269.55.

Bentley captured all 16 events in the meet, with the list of double-winners also including seniors Taryn Dooley (Feeding Hills/Agawam HS) and Monika Drogosz (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS), along with junior Amanda Le (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS).

Dooley reached the wall first in the 50 yard backstroke (30.38 seconds) and the 100 back (1:06.39), and also swam the opening leg on the Falcons' winning 200 medley relay team (1:59.22). Drogosz recorded winning performances in the 100 freestyle (57.80) and the 50 butterfly (29.09).

Le won the 100 fly by more than three seconds with a time of 1:02.58 and cruised to an eight-second victory in the 100 breaststroke, finishing in 1:09.46.
