WALTHAM, Mass. – Visiting Southern Connecticut scored three times in a span of four minutes in the first half on its way to a 3-0 victory over the Bentley University women's soccer team Saturday afternoon in a Northeast-10 match.

Junior Janie Jannitto got the Owls on the scoreboard first in the 34th minute, meeting Brooke Madura's cross from the right wing in the six-yard box and punching in the goal.

In the 35th minute junior Suzane Pires netted the first of her two straight goals to put Southern up 2-0. Pires took advantage of a Bentley turnover in the penalty area and struck from 10 yards away. In the 38th minute Pires made a steal just outside the penalty area, dribbled in and scored on another 10-yard shot to put the Owls up 3-0.

Southern Connecticut improves to 6-4-3 in the NE-10 with the win, 8-4-3 overall. The Falcons drop to 5-7-3 overall and 3-7-3 in the NE-10.
