WALTHAM, Mass. – On the heels of a 4-0 fall season, the Bentley University men's tennis team is ranked third in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division II East Region rankings. The doubles team of sophomores Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) and Lucas Wever (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) are seventh in the East Region doubles rankings.
The defending Northeast-10 regular season and tournament champions, the Falcons dropped just one point in their four matches during the fall, all of which were NE-10 matches. Concordia (N.Y.) and Queens (N.Y.) are the top two teams in the region.
Ribeiro and Wever won all three of their doubles matches during the fall and are 13-0 as a team in NE-10 matches in their careers. Concordia's Andrey Boldarev and Daniele Piludu are the top ranked team.
Bentley begins its fall season on March 9 at Brandeis.
