  • Bentley Athletics Garners Seven Northeast-10 Team Academic Awards

    Seven Bentley University athletic teams have been presented with Team Academic Excellence Awards by the Northeast-10 Conference for the 2010-11 academic year. The awards honor the teams with the highest grade point average in each of the conference’s sponsored sports.
  • Crompton to Host Prospect Academy at Bentley Aug. 8-11

    WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley head men’s soccer coach Gary Crompton will host a college prospect academy for high school players on the Bentley campus from August 8-11. Crompton and his staff will also host clinics for younger players at various locations in the area throughout the summer.

Head coach Gary Crompton has been selected to coach the team.

Nikiforov and sophomore Weston Zeiner (North Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) were also named first team All-Conference, giving Bentley two, first team All-Conference choices for the first time since 1999.

    In front of the largest home crowd ever for a Bentley University soccer game, the Falcons sent the fans home happy on Homecoming Day and Senior Day with a 1-0 win over Northeast-10 foe Merrimack. Freshman Cody Osgood (Harvard, Mass./Bromfield School) scored the game’s only goal in the 72nd minute.

As a result of that cancellation, the time for Bentley’s home men’s soccer game against Merrimack has been moved to 2 pm Saturday.

The Class of 2010 consists of Kim (Cummings) Singh ’96 (women’s basketball), Julie Doherty ’02 (women’s cross country and track), Gary Mello ’01 (men’s cross country and track), Mike Rymsha ’96 (football), Kevin Van Dam ’02 (men’s basketball) and Scott Yavarow ‘02 (men’s soccer and lacrosse).
