WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley Falcons men's lacrosse goalie Michael Haggan (Braintree, Mass./BC High) was named to the USILA's Division II Team of the Week for his performance in games against ranked teams Adelphi and Pace last week.
Haggan led Bentley to a near upset of No. 6 ranked Adelphi on April 17 with 22 saves, but the Panthers escaped with a 10-9 victory in overtime. It was a career high number of saves, and he posted a 68.8 save percentage in that game.
Four days later, Haggan made 19 saves as the Falcons knocked off then-No. 17 ranked Pace 10-9. He stopped 19 shots for a 67.9 save percentage, and was at his best in the fourth quarter with nine saves, with five stops in the final 3:31 as Bentley scored the tying and go-ahead goals.
On the season, Haggan's 56.9 save percentage ranks fifth in the Northeast-10.
Bentley will close out the regular season on Saturday when they visit AIC.
