Graduate student tight end who is pursuing a masters in finance … earned his Bachelor’s degree in economics-finance … potential starter … excellent all-around player who has seen time at H-back, at fullback and on defense during his time at Bentley … worked hard at the new position during camp and will find himself on the field at multiple positions … three varsity letters.

2010: Redshirted after suffering season-ending injury in preseason camp.

2009: Played in all ten games and started at Merrimack Oct. 3 … made six catches for 33 yards … season-long was a 13 yard reception against Saint Anselm Sept. 11 … had two catches at Stonehill Nov. 7.

2008: Suited up for all 11 games and started the first three of the season … rushed for 66 yards on 21 carries … ran the ball for 15 yards against Millersville Aug. 29 … had season-high 23 yards on six carries against Carson-Newman Sept. 12.

2007: Appeared in two games without recording any statistics.

Personal: 2007 graduate of Brophy College Prep and the third Brophy product to play football for Bentley (Rob Kohrs, 2003-05, and Mike LaPrade, 2002-05) … starting tight end for a Brophy team that won the 2005 5A Arizona state championship … also the 2005 and 2006 region champs … 2005 and 2006 AIA Scholar Athlete Award … 2006 second-team All-Region after leading team with six TD receptions … age as of Sept. 1: 22 … son of Jeff and Carol Stires … has two sisters, Caitlin (20) and Chelsea (19).
