    Bentley University football standout Ben Nassar (North Andover), a 1999 graduate, has been named one of nine members of the Northeast-10 Conference Hall of Fame Class of 2011. He is the tenth former Bentley student-athlete to be selected for the Northeast-10 Hall.

  • Six Falcons Named to 2011 Hampshire Honor Society

    Six seniors on the 2010 Bentley University football team have been named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's 2011 NFF Hampshire Honor Society. The Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a 3.2 grade point average or better. A total of 671 players from 241 schools qualified for membership in the society's fifth year.

    Bentley University senior quarterback Bryant Johnson (Hopedale/Milford HS) was a unanimous choice of the Northeast-10 football coaches as the conference’s Most Valuable Player. He’s the first Falcon to receive the prestigious honor since Marc Eddy won his second straight MVP award in 2004.

Merrimack College will provide the opposition as the Falcons launch their home and Northeast-10 Conference schedules. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 pm.

Those are a few of the story lines that will be present when Bentley (4-4, 4-2 NE-10) hosts Stonehill College Saturday at noon in the 2010 season-finale and just the third home game for this year’s Falcons.

Also selected were teammates John Malone (Walpole/Walpole HS), a senior wide receiver and captain, and Mark Dolan (Barrington, R.I./Barrington HS), a senior linebacker.

The Class of 2010 consists of Kim (Cummings) Singh ’96 (women’s basketball), Julie Doherty ’02 (women’s cross country and track), Gary Mello ’01 (men’s cross country and track), Mike Rymsha ’96 (football), Kevin Van Dam ’02 (men’s basketball) and Scott Yavarow ‘02 (men’s soccer and lacrosse).
