Bentley Hangs Tough but Falls to Franklin Pierce, 1-0

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley hung tough against Franklin Pierce, a team that was in the national semifinals in 2024, but fell to the Ravens 1-0 on Tuesday.

Bentley held Franklin Pierce in check for much of the afternoon, but a goal by Makenzie Shean in the 11th minute was the difference.

Falcons keeper Holly DiPalo made seven saves against the Ravens, who were ranked as high as seventh in the United Soccer Coaches Division II poll last week.

The seven saves are a season high for DiPalo, one of the team captains.

Bentley's best chance came in the 66th minute on a shot by Taylor Walwyn from 15 yards away in the center of the box but Ravens keeper Jess LaCroix made the save.

The Falcons are now off until October 4 and when they return to the pitch it will be at home against Adelphi.
