    The ninth school record of the season for Bentley University senior Stephanie Mattson (Smithfield, R.I./Smithfield HS) came Sunday with a second-place finish in the triple jump during the Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships at Smith College.

    Senior Stephanie Mattson (Smithfield, R.I./Smithfield HS) and sophomore Sydney Hurwitz (Newton/Newton North HS) continued to rewrite the Bentley University women’s indoor track and field record book on Saturday with each breaking a record for the second straight day. Saturday’s records came during the Gordon Kelly Invitational at MIT.

    For the 20th consecutive semester, Bentley University had the most selections for the Northeast-10 Conference Academic Honor Roll (formerly known as the Commissioner’s Honor Roll) with 381 student-athletes recognized for having a 3.0 or better grade point average during the fall 2018 semester.

    The Bentley University track and field teams, who open the season Saturday with the UMass-Boston Invitational at the Reggie Lewis Center, will have a half-dozen seniors serving as team captains. Stephanie Mattson (Smithfield, R.I./Smithfield HS) and Tina Touri (Watertown/Watertown HS) will be charged with leading the women’s team while the men’s captains will be Michael Carpino (Mansfield/Mansfield HS), Josh Gettings (Lowell/Lowell HS), Dan Hergott (Wallingford, Conn./Xavier HS) and Cody Murphy (Dunbarton, N.H./Goffstown HS).
  • Bentley Student-Athletes Have Highest Graduation Rate in Division II

    For the second straight year, Bentley University is ranked number one nationally in the latest NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate report, which was announced today. Bentley, with its highest ASR in the 13 years that the NCAA has been compiling the data, was alone at the top of the rankings, two points above the five institutions tied for second, after sharing the top position a year ago. This was the fifth straight year that Bentley has achieved an ASR of 97 or better and the eighth straight they’ve been above 90.
