  • Mancini Named Scholar All-America by CSCAA; Niemiec Also Recognized

    Recent Bentley University graduate Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/ Falmouth HS), a four-time All-America who plans to return this coming year for her final season of eligibility, has been named a Scholar All-America by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for her combined success in the pool and in the classroom.
  • McFarland & Mancini Named Bentley’s Outstanding Senior Athletes; Gladiuk Recipient of Powers Award

    Men’s basketball’s Tyler McFarland (Rockport, Maine/Camden Hills HS) and diver Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS), both of whom received All-America recognition in their respective sports, were named Bentley University’s Outstanding Senior Athletes Monday night during a Division of Student Affairs awards program in the Dana Center’s Carleton Room. In addition, hockey standout Andrew Gladiuk (White Rock, B.C./Nanaimo Clippers) was presented with the Edward J. Powers Scholar Athlete Award as Bentley’s premier senior scholar-athlete.

    Four-time Division II All-America diver Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/ Falmouth HS) was selected as the Northeast-10 Conference’s Sport Excellence award winner for women’s swimming and diving for her success in the pool and the classroom.

    After earning her fourth career All-America award with a sixth-place finish in the three-meter diving Wednesday night, Bentley University senior Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS) closed out the season by finishing 22nd in the one-meter Friday night during the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships at the Indiana University Natatorium.

    Bentley University senior divers Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/ Falmouth HS), Courtney Stone (Andover/Andover HS) and Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS) will be in Indianapolis, Ind. next month to compete in the NCAA Division II pre-qualification meet on Tuesday, March 8 at the famed Indiana University Natatorium, located on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI).

Maloney HS) repeated as 200 yard breaststroke champion to lead the Bentley University Falcons during the final night of the 2016 Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships Sunday night at WPI.

    Freshman Kate Kaduboski (Dedham, Mass./Dedham HS) and senior All-America Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS) were double-winners for the Bentley University women’s swimming team but the Falcons’ winning streak ended at eight when Keene State prevailed 166-131 Saturday afternoon at the Keene State pool.

  • Bridge & Stone Collect NE-10 Diver of the Week Awards; Men’s Relay Team Also Honored

    Bentley University seniors Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS) and Courtney Stone (Andover/Andover HS) have been named the Diving Athletes of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference. Bridge was saluted for the second straight week, and 14th time in his career, and the honor is a career first for Stone.

    Junior Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS) won two events and anchored the Falcons’ winning 400 free relay team as Bentley University collected a 147-94 victory over The College of Saint Rose Sunday afternoon in women’s college swimming at the Dana Center pool.
