WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University women's swimming and diving team has been recognized as a Division II Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
Coach Mary Kay Samko's team was one of 42 Division II teams nationally that was honored for having a over team GPA of at least 3.00. Through the fall 2011 semester, the team's GPA is an impressive 3.21. The Falcons were one of only four Northeast-10 Conference institutions to earn the honor.
Of the 29 women on the roader, eight have GPAs of at least 3.50 and another 14 are at 3.00 or higher.
Bentley posted an 8-1 dual record, finished second in the Northeast-10 Championships and repeated as New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships.
