A message from Coach Stevens about Bentley's Play4Kay Initiative
Hello everyone,
As most of you are aware, during the month of February the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association sponsors what has come to be known as the "Pink Games". The "Think Pink" initiative, originally developed by the WBCA, has now been taken over by the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and has been renamed Play 4 Kay. The goal of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund is to raise money to fund research to eradicate women's cancers - something we should all support.
We want to do our part in raising money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and have formed a web page, Bentley University Falcons, which you all can go to and check the progress towards our fundraising goal. We'd like you all to join and contribute (any amount is welcome), then send the link of our team page to all of your family members, friends and anyone else you think would want to contribute to this important cause. Our fundraising goal is $2,000.00.
On a side note, Bentley University Women’s Basketball raised the most money in NCAA Division II Women's Basketball for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund two years in a row (2009 & 2010). In recognition of our efforts, the Russell Athletics Company donated the pink uniforms that we will be wearing for our Play 4 Kay game on Feb. 18 v. Stonehill - which is also our SENIOR DAY.
I hope you all will join in our fundraising efforts and forward the link to our team home page to everyone you can think of, asking them to "join our team". Listed below are the steps you need to follow:
