  • Boains, Quiroga Honored by Northeast-10 as Swimmer, Diver of the Week; Viator Recognized by CollegeSwimming.com

    Bentley University seniors Jonny Boains (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) and Juan Quiroga (Bogota, Colombia) have been selected as the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Swimmer and Men’s Diver of the Week, respectively, following their outstanding performances last week. In addition, junior Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) was recognized as CollegeSwimming.com’s Northeast-10 Women’s Swimmer of the Week.
  • Bentley Stretches Dual Win Streak to 22 with 159-78 Win over Babson

    With the meet even at 18-apiece following two events, Bentley University sophomore Jarod Yoshihara (Irvine, Calif./University HS) captured the 200 yard freestyle to put his team in front to stay and the Falcons went on to a 159-78 victory over Babson College in men’s college swimming at the Babson pool Tuesday night.
  • McGeary Helps Bentley Extend Dual Win Streak to 21 with 209-87 Victory over Keene State

    Six-foot-eight junior Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS) swam to victory in two individual events and helped the Falcons take both relays as the Bentley University men’s swimming and diving team won its 21st consecutive dual meet, 209-87 over Keene State College Saturday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

    After helping the Falcons capture the meet-opening 400 yard medley relay, senior Jonny Boains (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) and sophomore Jarod Yoshihara (Irvine, Calif./University HS) each won two individual events as Bentley University made it 19 straight dual victories with a 161-96 win over St. Michael’s College in men’s swimming and diving action Tuesday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

  • Bentley Tops NCAA Academic Success Rate Report, Receives President’s Award for Academic Excellence

    Bentley University is tied for number one nationally in the latest NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate report. Of the three institutions who shared the top spot with a 98 percent ASR, Bentley is the only one that has a football program. In recognition of having a four-year ASR of 90 or better, Bentley received a “Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence” from the NCAA.

    Day two of the Gompei Invitational at Worcester Polytechnic Institute concluded Saturday with the Bentley University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams remaining in fifth place. The meet will conclude on Sunday with prelims in the morning and finals during the evening session.
  • Bentley Swim Teams Stand in 5th after Day 1 of Gompei Invitational; Boains & McGeary Lead Men

    Both the Bentley University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams finished day 1 of the Gompei Invitational at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in fifth place Friday night. The women’s team finished with 579 points, trailing number four Roger Williams by just ten, and the men’s team, with 410, was only six back of fourth-place Roger Williams.

    Bentley University senior Jonny Boains (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) won three individual events, all with times that rank amongst the best in the Northeast-10 Conference, as the Falcon men’s swimming team swam past Brandeis University Friday night, 191-100, in a battle of crosstown rivals at the Dana Center pool.

  • Bentley Gains Men’s Relay Team of Week Honors for 2nd Straight Week

    For the second time in as many weeks, the Bentley University swim program produced the Men’s Relay Team of the Week. Senior Chris Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS), sophomore Alper Alkaya (Milan, Italy) and freshman Clayton Bennice (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa HS) were repeat honorees and were joined this week by junior Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS).
  • Bentley Captures Final Relay to Stretch Winning Streak to 15, 159-141 at Le Moyne

    Ahead by nine points heading into the meet-ending 200 yard freestyle relay, the Bentley University men’s swimming team needed to finish either first or second during Saturday’s meet at Le Moyne College’s Vincent B. Ryan Pool to keep its winning streak alive.

  • Boains Sparks Bentley to Season-Opening Win at Wheaton

    Three wins by senior Jonny Boains (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) helped the Bentley University men’s swimming and diving team open the season with a 178-116 road win over Wheaton College Saturday afternoon. The victory was the Falcons’ 14th straight dual win, dating back to January 2016.
  • Four to Serve as Bentley Swim Captains

    Seniors Aidan Karam (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy), Jess Chen (Darien, Conn./Darien HS), Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney HS) and Anne Warren (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron HS) will serve as captains of the 2017-18 Bentley University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams, head coach Mary Kay Samko announced.
