Jon Coleman begins his first season on the Bentley hockey coaching staff for the 2018-19 season.

An experienced coach and player, Coleman was previously an assistant coach at Babson beginning in 2015. His previous stop was as the Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations of the Canton Bulldogs in the MPHL.

As a player, Coleman was a 2nd round pick of the Detroit Red Wings in the 1993 NHL Draft. That preceded a standout career at Boston University, which saw him win the 1995 National Championship with the Terriers. Individually, he was named an All-American in both 1996 and 1997, was named first team All-Hockey East in those seasons as well, while helping the Terriers to the Frozen Four both seasons.

After graduating from BU’s School of Management in 1997, he went on to play in the AHL for several seasons, followed by playing in several leagues around Europe.
