WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University hockey team posted a four-year score of 997 out of a possible 1,000 in the NCAA's Academic Progress Rates, it was revealed in an article by USCHO over the weekend.
The scores are based on the retention and eligibility of scholarship players, and are culled from data starting with the 2007-08 academic year and ending in 2010-11.
Said head coach Ryan Soderquist, "we take a great deal of pride in our players being here four years and graduating on time from Bentley."
Bentley is the highest ranked Atlantic Hockey school, and out of the 58 Division I teams, placed behind only the seven schools that posted perfect scores.
